The Western Museum of Mining & Industry proudly welcomes exhibitors, vendors, and guests to beautiful Colorado Springs and the 5th Annual Model Engineering & Historic Power Show!

This event will feature:

  • Quality engineered, handcrafted scale models
  • Operation of full-sized historic steam engines & mining equipment
  • Antique stationary engines & historic tractors
  • Operation of the 1927 Osgood Steam Shovel and the 1890's Yellow Jacket II Stamp Mill to include milling ore and dropping stamps (Sunday only)
  • N scale model trains by the Pikes Peak "N" Gineers
  • Pikes Peak Miniaturist Club featuring "handcrafted dollhouses"
  • One day only, Saturday, June 14, the award winning
    Slim Rails HO Model Club
  • Museum tours, Keep-What-You-Find gold panning & hay rides
  • Picnic grounds and food vendor on site

Visitors check out some of the handywork inside the museum.

 

Guest of all ages were entertained by the miniature models.

Guests at WMMI's Model Engineering Show watched this red engine move about the grounds!

Whether outside or in the tent, everyone had a great time!
